The protocol optimisation process utilises ‘Flexible Temperature’ technology to divide the 96-well plate into six separate temperature zones (4 x 4 wells each), which are easily distinguished by blue and black squares. A separate temperature can be selected for each zone (maximum temperature difference between zones 24 °C).
